Easter

Monday, we wrote stories about our favorite thing at the Lazy Five Ranch. We started using craft sticks to help us put space between our words, so our writing looks more like "kindergarten" writing. We also made an Easter vocabulary book this week and drew pictures to represent crucifixion, tomb and resurrection.
On Tuesday, we made Resurrection Rolls. The marshmallow represents Christ's body, the butter embalming oils, the cinnamon and sugar embalming spices, and the crescent rolls a tomb. After baking them, you open the tomb and it's empty, just like Jesus' tomb on Easter morning!

On Tuesday, we also graphed jellybeans. The best part was getting to taste them to answer which was their favorite!

We made patterns. Abby made an ABC pattern.
 Eliza made a growing pattern.
We got a new toy for the playground. On Monday the kids weren't so sure and were a little timid, but by Thursday they almost all could reach the top!
On Thursday we dyed Easter eggs.

And played matching games with Easter eggs.

 And hunted for Easter eggs!

Thank you for sending in all the things we needed to have a great Easter celebration week!
