Fun With Apples

We had a great time using apples for our math activity one day this week.

First, the kids tried to balance their apple on one side of the scale with magnets on the other side.

Then the kids counted to see how many magnets it took to balance the scale. Next, they measured their apples' circumference with a piece of yarn and measured how long the their yarn was in unifix cubes.

Then the kids determined what color their apple was and we wrote the color word for them and had them draw a picture of their apple.

Thank you for sending the apples in so we could do this fun activity!
