Groundhogs and the Letter G

We had a short week with the snow days, but we learned the letter G, the number 4, and about the Good Samaritan. Our Bible verse was, "Go into the world and preach the gospel to every creature." We talked about why God wants us to tell other's about Jesus. 

We made groundhogs with potatoes as our paint brushes. 

We learned about how to tell if something was heavier using our balance scale. 

 We practiced counting and drawing the number four. 

 And writing the letter G. 

We also started practicing writing our names with lowercase letters. Melanie and I sat down with each child to show them the correct way to make the lowercase letters in their names. Some of the children are still struggling with remember to start letter formation from the top down and from left to right. Please reinforce this when they are writing at home!
